Typical me

I had to change the text... I liked it, but you couldn't see the dots and the ! looked like l's... Very annoying! :)

Now! If I could only figure out how to make the text run down the middle, and not to the left, that would be great too.

Caesar and Lizzy

Today I went to get Ceasar and to return some books to the library. I went around nine, and was back around five. Not what I'd planned really, but that's life. First me and Caesar went to a place called Rosenlund and took a ferry!

He thought it was a little bit scary. But I just pretended nothing was out of the ordinary and even though he got off a bit fast he was okay. Then we arrived at Lindholmspiren and discovered that the library opened at twelve. So.. about two hours to go, I guess.

So we went to a restaurant and hade some coke for me and water for Ceasar.

Alot of people stopped dead in their tracks and just pointed and waved and most people smiled and all you could hear was "LOOK AT THAT! IT'S A HORSE! IT'S A HUMAN! IT'S A CALF! IS THAT A GREAT DANE? WOOOOW! WHAT'S HIS NAME? HE'S SO BIG!". Because in Lindholmen there is almost only students in the age 15-25... It gets pretty intense. Of course I just strutted around with Caesar, letting him hold his own leash and stuff like that. He's a very nice, good boy.

Then we took the ferry back to Rosenlund and went to visit a shop where I did some internship a while back. He got some well deserved rest!
Then I hurried towards Slottskogen (Castle Woods?) to meet up with Lizzy. But first a quick stop, since Eivor hadn't called yet to tell me Lizzy was on her way... Which meant I had at least half an hour left to walk 2-3 kilometres.

I should never had stopped! She called as soon as I sat down, meaning I had half a litre of coke to drink and get Caesar to the park within 30 mins! Of course it proved impossible, and I was probably at least ten minutes late. And I had to buy him dried pig ears too, because he refused to leave the store without one.

But then he met Lizzy, and after that I had the greatest challenge of all! To walk about 4 kilometres with two dogs circling around me like crazy. But at least they weren't agressive or insecure. I had a little stop within the park though.

It took me over two hours to get home. But eventually I got them under control! Success! A total confidence boost! When I got home I let them out in a closed, close by play ground (such a sad little play ground) to let them get a good sniff of each other.

(Until I figure out how to put a youtube-video on this page, I will just link it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qE6pwJgP8-o ... I cant even make a proper link, because it will not show when published)

But poor Caesar could hardly smell anything.. She was waaay to fast for him. Well - one of the slowest dog breeds and one of the fastest. What to expect.

First time

I'm off to pick up Caesar for the first time! Exciting!

Gentle Giant

So this is me and Caesar in the close by park.

Nina came by with Caesar just to hang out a bit with us, we had some coffee and cake and I got to spend some time with this wonderful dog and his very nice owner!

Nom nom! Sausage!Did you drop some? Was that it??

After the coffee we went to the park so he could have a sniff & stroll.
Then we went to get his mattress and some food, and since the weather has gotten quite hot, he needed some water!
Then we got to their apartment (only 5-10 minutes from home!) but he didn't feel like going inside yet so we let him sniff around in the yard. He has a bush fetish! He just loooves to get his entire face/head inside of bushes.
Look at him! With his pretty human in the picture too.

Unfortunaly it turned out to look like a puppy. So I didn't succed with really capturing Honey, but it's a sweet expression.

And any picture I draw of Honey you can take, Hsin-Yi! :) Thank you for all the inspiration!

Candy Profile

bighoneydog.com

This is Honey, by me!
You can see the original picture on the front page! Just click to enlarge it.

I Draw

quite alot. Well, sometimes I draw alot and sometimes not at all. I've recently started to draw dogs! usually I only draw naked women but since my increasing fascination of dogs I've started drawing them too/instead.

So the last few days I've drawn Honey and Candy! :) I'll upload them when my scanner decides to work, hehe!

It's nice to be a snitch!

I mentioned in my prevoius entry that we're going to be rewarding Candy's barking. You might think that I've lost my mind...

But I've read a book called "The Contact Contract" (SW: Kontaktkontraktet) and it's an amazing and remarkable book. And within the covers of this fantastic book there is a chapter called "It's nice to be a snitch!" (SW: Det är fint att skvallra).

Here's the idea: Reward your dog every time he barks at another dog, a kitten, a squirrel, a wierd sign, a strange man, etc... And soon, instead of barking, he'll come back to you for a reward for spotting something special. It's not only kind for the ears, but it can also serve a purpose.

If you for example have two doggies, and one is unsure and hostile against other dogs/constantly hunting, then you don't have to strain your eyes, your doggie-snitch will for you.

Edit: I got a good tip from a friend. Start rewarding as soon as your dog sees something, the split of a second before he barks!

Easter School Break

Is finally here! Now I can have my boyfriend to myself for several days! So we went to get Candy too. He'll be home again tomorrow.

First we took him to a local fenced dog area so he could run loose (In sweden we don't really have dog parks... At least not in or around Göteborg). Vladimir hasn't really taught him a good recall either. It was just a patch of grass and dirt about 20x20 meters.

Two minutes after we got there a man comes by with a big German Sheperd looking dog which made the little sausage even more crazy, but in a barking way. He also refused to leave, it took him at least 30 minutes to leave... His dog was also barking. He told us that we should "dominate" our dog. Grr.

Anyway, after that we played and took photos! Here are some:

But when he was in his "cage" (it's more of a bag) and on his way with us, home... Some kind of accident happened! We looked in to the bag/cage when we could finally sit down and he was all wet! The leash, his paws, his unmentionables, his belly and the blanket on which he'd been sitting on was also completley wet. But without a smell.. like it was only water? But that's impossible.

Anyway, he'd had quite alot to drink and as a typical male he pees alot, so maybe all the urin was out! But we of course had to bathe him and he HATES bathing. Here is a few emotional and blurry pictures:

Another little note is that we've tried a few different approaches to stop his barking, so now we're going to reward all of his barking and see what THAT does to the noise ;)

Candy the Chihuahua

So, El Chorizo Loco is back!

I am very concerned about his teeth:

This is their current state. I am really concerned about the spot of his gum that has turned black. Of course they're all in bad shape... I think he should go to the vet ASAP.

But I took some cute pictures of this crazy hotdog!

True to his name, he reaaally likes candy. Or sliced ham, in this case ;)

I think he's as cute as a pokemon or something like it, haha. A few more cute pictures:
Did I miss a spot? Is it here? Did I get it?

Can't an old man rest? Why are you taking so many pictures?... Silly question! I'm soo pretty, but seriously, back off.

Guarding my territory! It's serious business!

Another round:
Back rubs are the best! Especially when I get to sit on his stomach! Although it could be softer!

Why did you stop? It felt so good! You should rub some more!

Won't you stop taking pictures of me, you most have taken at least 200 now?

Caesar

After a few emails and a few phonecalls I finally got to meet Caesar the fawn Great Dane. And sure was he great! His back reached up to my hip! He was so big and handsome! About 80 kg of older gentleman who's still got alot of playfulness in him.

This is him, from the ad (I didn't take any pictures this time, I will the next):

He was just such a wonderful dog and I saw alot of similarities with Honey (www.bighoneydog.com) and I really look forward to looking after this dog 6 times a month :D
