France meeting Denmark
or should I say Frans meeting a grand danois? or perhaps Frans VS Caesar.
Anyway. They met. Two 8 year old dogs, a couple of old men. Of course they were a bit 'gruffy'. A bit of growling and snapping and fur standing on end. But as long as they kept just a little bit of distance they were both getting used to one another. Grumbling and mumbling.
Frans is new to this "establishment" ;) a miniature poodle. Is that what they're called in english? here he's called "dvärgpudel" dvärg meaning dwarf and pudel of course meaning poodle. And I do know I could just look it up, but naah.
This here is frans, he's very good at posing, smiling friendly with eye contact!
I recommend youy enlarge the montage (by clicking it) because it gets 10 times more cute when enlarged.
This is the two old mans meeting in the park:

A diamond in the ruff and feline cuteness

So this is Xena and the one I was supposed to be "fodervärd" for. The one I spent most of my day with (aside from getting my hair cut and dyed). Such a sweet, bombastic little girl. Kind of a diamond in the ruff. Just... a little too ruff.
Se here's what happened. After spending the first half of the day with her and buying RMB (raw meaty bones) and some toys and stuff... me, my dad and my boyfriend (togheter with Xena) slowly made our way to a restuarant to celebrate my new job (I'm actually starting today, but I had my introduction yesterday). Then pretty much out of nowhere she started being agressive - not I-am-going-to-rip-you-to-pieces-agressive but not at all come-on-lets-play. She started biting shoes, the tendons in my heels, jumping up and biting our wrists, all while barking.
(picture unrelated to incident)I'm not really sure what happened but I just couldn't calm her down... and I can't have a dog that's not under my control. That's just not going to happen. Especially not a dog who could, if she felt like it, bite my face off. Not that I think she would do that, but you get the picture.
I'm sad it has to be this way, because I really liked the littled bundle of energy.
Now; on to today instead of yesterday!
I went out with Marina(human), Haley(afghan), Smilla(afghan), Ellen(shih-tzu), Vladimir(human) and Creative(greyhound). We first had a walk in the rain but then the really exciting part happened: I got to meet her cats! <3 Enjoy!

That's all the pictures of todays adventure. The Rex is Eskil, the other cat is Iris and well, The beautiful, wet, a little bit pathetic greyhound is Creative a.k.a. Curre.

Well today i've met with a couple of dogs!
The first one is an rednose american pitbull whom I will be "fodervärd" åt. Directly translated it means food/kibble host. But what it really means is that I get the dog and the owner pays for everything - food, candy, a new leash, etc. But I don't really get paid - on the other hand I get to do whatever I want with it. I can train it however I want, feed her Raw Meaty Bones, etc. I look forward to that challenge! It will be so much fun.
A little info about her is that she's quite a small, very energetic light brown pitbull. Her name is Xena (the warrior princess) and she's 1 ½ years old. A very cute little "frog" :)
The other dog I met by chance after I'd met with Xena. He was also a sort of pitbull but very large - maybe 30-45 kilos. He's some sort of albino, although he's just very lightly coloured and not white with red eyes. He's a very bright fawn with beautiful blue-green eyes and a flesh-coloured nose.
He's 10 months and very high energy at times - his owner owns a resturant and needs to be at work pretty much every day. The owner is getting quite desperate because (his name is:) Legolas has gotten so big and a bit out of control. So his owner is going to call me later this weekend - maybe tomorrow, and set up a "date". He's so very charming and beautiful! (The dog, of course)
Unfortunaly I didn't get pictures of either dogs but since I'll meet them again I'll get them soon, don't worry ;)
Then I met someone.... This isnt candy:

This is a comparison:

Scary huh? probably a relative! Anyhoo - we got her number and is going to set up a playdate! yay! so there will be pictures of them togheter! :D

Summer's good for business
(This entry is several days delayed. I've been having problems with uploading the images.)
Well, a couple of days ago I searched a site called "Neighbors" (SW=Grannar) and there were alot of dogs that needed help during the day when their humans were at work so these last couple of days I've been meeting with dogs and it seems that my life is going to be a bit busier! I'm probably gonna have a few monday-friday dogs, the first one starting tomorrow!
His name is Sam and he is from USA, he moved here quite recently. He was found in a shelter in poor condition by his swedish human who were working there at the time. He is a sweet Akita/German Shepherd cross, although a bit reserved towards strangers - like hounds!
I also met a dog called Rocky, in the same age as Sam (2-3 years) and in a similar cross - Border Collie/Husky. Although Rocky was a little less reserved and quite a playful little dog. They look very different from each other but I thought it was a funny coincidence.
I've also realised today that Caesar is just absolutley impossible to walk with other dogs. He just have to sniff their butts and try to hump them - no matter what their gender is. It becomes to much for him to handle - the temptation of walking next to another dog for a longer period of time. My hands are all swollen from the harsh leather in his leash from when he was pulling really, really hard.
Anyway, the little dog called Rocky has a vet as an owner and will be staying with me at completly random times - days, nights, evening, weekends; just like Lizzy the Saluki!
I do hope that all of the dogs will get along! Caesar will just have to stay inside when I walk other dogs.
Here are some pictures from Slottskogen where, by the way, alot of people were celebrating the swedish national day! Not that the pictures show any of that.
This is first Caesar reluctantly staying put, later the human company with sweet little Ellen the Shih Tzu and Rocky the Border Collie/Husky hiding behind his owner - maybe you can spot som black fur? And last but not least the very beautiful Haley and Smilla the Afghan girls!

I made a kalendar
to see how my summer will be. Just until I buy something cute with puppies all over it. I definatly have some "clients" at least! Wish there would be more, though. So if anyone in gothenburg are planning a family vacation without their dog - think of me! :)
I bicycled over and met with two cute cavaliers that will be spending a week with me this summer - they're totally adorable - funny how I can even charge people money for spending time with dogs... well probably because this makes it very hard for me to find another job.
Rambling! :)
