Latest names...

I went through the swedish calendar and found a new bunch of names: Irmelin, Sonja, Aurora, Hedvig, Viola and Elsa. Of course, if you read them in english - that's not how they're gonna sound. But you can have an opinion anyway. Swedish is a bit strange to pronounce... :) Maybe I can make a recording of my voice, to show you how they'll sound!

So it's almost decided. All that I'm waiting for now is my dad's approval. Not to buy her, but to be able to live here... Actually I'm pretty sure he's gonna say yes, because he wouldn't destroy my dream. He just need some sleep :)

Update on the puppy thoughts

It actually looks like I will be getting my own fawn great dane in august. Isn't that crazy? I've done the math and I can totally make it work both training wise and economically.

Also, about the diet I will be feeding her "färskfoder" which is basically raw, ground up meat with some vitamins and minerals added and I'll give her some knuckle bones/marrow bones for teeth cleaning. I might throw in some chicken carass since she's already on a raw diet for some recreational chewing, tearing and a snack.

A dream coming true, ladies and gentlemen.

I've also been invited to meet the pups when they're 4-5 weeks. :)

I'll update you soon - hopefully with some pictures of my new born, future pup.

Also, what name rings best, do you think?

Poppy, Belva, Harriet, Chloe, Raina or Dollie? (Poppy is a flower just like Linnéa, a flower discovered and named by/after Carl Von Linné - a great botanican)

Hm, a puppy...

I asked. I now know that I might be considered for the next litter as a "fodervärd"- or I can buy a puppy this time if I want to. There might be a little pup with a faulty tail who wont be able to show which I in that case can get a bit cheaper - it's a fault that doesn't show and the pup is perfectly healthy.

In that case I would be a dog owner in august. That's like... insane :)

The only catch is that I'm not allowed to feed her Raw Meaty Bones until she's fully grown. (2 years).

We'll find out what happens!

A puppy?

Before I quit school I was supposed to get a puppy... Well that puppy's just been born... I can't help but want it so much it almost hurts.

Also, an update: "Fodervärd" apparantly didn't mean what I said it meant in a previous entry. I means "You get the dog, but I own it and get to have at least one litter. after that it's yours" and the breeder pays for part of the dogs care. Like perhaps insurance and stuff like that.

About "fodervärd"... I asked the breeder my dad was supposed to buy me a puppy from, since she's had puppies now, if I could be one. A beautiful little great dane girl... I dare not even hope.
