Exotic Names

I found three new favorites, quite exotic ones.

Nayeli - I love you / Native American
Aiko - Loving Child / Japanese
Naira - Big Eyes / Native American

I'm guessing there's more to find on the web.

I'm also GREATLY honoured. My Breeder asked me if I wanted to take part in naming the pup, it's official name. I might even play a little part in the other puppies names too, if I come up with some great ones.

Thank you, Jennie! (www.Danegarden.com)

  1. Oh my goodness! I can't believe you're going to get your puppy at last!!! How very, very exciting!! Congratulations! She looks so adorable - reminds me of Honey at about the same age - I wonder if they will also look a lot alike? It constantly freaks me out how much Caesar looks like Honey - I think it must be the "European Dane" thing because Honey resembles the European Danes much more than many of the Danes here (her father was an UK import and a lot of her grandparents, etc, were from Sweden & Germany).

I think the name Nairi is beautiful and has such a lovely meaning.

Can't wait to see more photos!

ps. by the way, can't you just change the title name of your blog? I know the URL can't be changed but that's OK - you can still change the title name anytime, I notice at the moment that you have no title in your header and no picture too - you should put a picture there of your new puppy when you get her!

  2. Isn't it? it's really a dream coming true! And I do not think she'll look THAT much alike, like Caesar does... But its still a european looking fawn girl :) I'm guessing she'll have a longer face/nose then Honey, also. And weigh a little less, maybe 60-65 kilos.

Her father is very handsome, and her mother Svea a very sweet looking girl.

About the names... I'm probably gonna go with something swedish or german.. But I like to look at all the possibilities... :)

A friend of mine (Marina, with Haley and Smilla + Ellen) has already decided she wants her to be called Harriet - haha.

Because it might be difficult to make the names from japan or other areas sound good in a swedish accent. And a name you wanna say a hundred times every day should come very naturally, I suppose...

Thanks for the lovely comment, I've been looking forward to your reaction :) Altough I know you've had a lot on your hands with the big competition. I really wanted to vote, put I just couldn't decide! Ha.

And yeah, there will definatly be a picture of her - about that, nice new header and theme on honeys site!
